My name is Daphne Black and I am the Owner and Sole Proprietor of Feather Haven Kennels. I have over 15 years of experience in handling and training dogs, I hunt and have acquired AKC titles in the hunt testing, obedience and conformation programs. I offer obedience training to all breeds of dogs 3 month of age and up and gundog training for retrievers, pointers, and flushing breeds. I specialize in retriever training, ranging from the hunting companion to those interested in field testing.
Feather Haven is located on 50 acres near North Webster, Indiana about 45 minutes northwest of Fort Wayne, with access to several hundred more acres of land and water giving in the surrounding area. This gives me the ability to expose dogs too several different type of hunting and testing situations.
Feather Haven is the home of two Champion Master Hunters, a Certified Therapy Dog, and several more AKC titled dogs. My kennel has produced numerous hunting dogs and many wonderful family companions. I take pride in my breeding program, which is geared toward producing well tempered, properly conformed, naturally talented hunting and testing dogs. I believe in quality over quantity and do only a few selective breedings each year.
